Sharndre is the co-founder and COO of Crimson Education – the company getting kiwi students into world-class universities. She launched the career-mentoring company with partner Jamie Beaton, originally called Crimson Consulting in 2013, their first year of university.
While based in New Zealand, Crimson operates globally to provide domestic students help in getting into top-tier global universities such as Princeton, Harvard and Oxford. Crimson now has more than 2400 tutors and mentors and 20,000 students in more than 20 countries including Brazil, Thailand, USA, Russia, and China.
Crimson has recently diversified with new business ‘Crimson Rise’, which will teach entrepreneurship, coding and time management to students aged 10-14 years. In six years alone, the company has helped its students secure 193 offers to the Ivy League, 59 to Oxford or Cambridge, 400+ to the UK Top 25, and US$65M in financial aid and scholarships.
In 2017 Sharndre was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Businesswomen of the Year at the Indian Business Awards. She also won a New Zealand Youth Enterprise Award and made Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 Asia list.
