GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of individuals who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life.
During one week each November, GEW aims to inspire individuals around the world to explore their entrepreneurial potential through a range of local, national and global activities.
The premiere event of GEW is the DECA Idea Challenge and kicks off on November 10, 2016. It is a fast-paced competition that challenges student teams around the world to find an innovative new use for a commonplace item. Last year’s competition challenged students to re-invent cardboard boxes, with winning ideas including custom designed pallets, sun shelters, and eco-blinds.
