Seeking more YES success with Kiwi Publish enterprise
Contributing to positive mental health is one of the goals of Kiwi Publish, a Young Enterprise Scheme company headed by Gisborne Girls’ High School student Rebecca Collier.
Colour NZ - Wildlife is the first offering — a colouring book focused on New Zealand and mindfulness.
Kiwi Publish is a sole-trading company creating publications to promote mental wellbeing, centring around New Zealand’s unique beauty.
“The purpose of the books is to help people relax, rewind and regenerate by engaging in the positive activity of colouring in,” says Rebecca.
She has engaged the skills of illustrator Joe Gardiner who has created 25 illustrations based on New Zealand wildlife.
An important goal for the company is to be financially sustainable.
“I want to create a business that can support itself.”
Another goal is to become environmentally sustainable.
“Kiwi Publish will donate 15 cents from every copy sold to the Environmental and Conservation Organisation of Aotearoa New Zealand and 15 cents to the Mental Health Foundation.”
