Students Selected for Singapore Study Tour

Ten enthusiastic New Zealand high school students have been selected to take part in a business challenge field-trip to Singapore next month.

The Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence (CAPE) has worked with Young Enterprise and the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Singapore to create a business study tour with the aim of exposing young kiwis to the opportunities awaiting them outside of school and in the hub of businesses in Asia.

The students will learn about the culture and business community in Singapore, including site visits to established companies and start-ups. They will meet local entrepreneurs, as well as those involved in some of our trade relationships. Most excitingly, they will work with local Singaporean students on a thought-provoking business challenge!

The trip is an opportunity for these young entrepreneurs to extend their global business knowledge and their understanding of the Singapore trade environment.

The talented students selected to go to Singapore in April this year are:

  • Skye Lunson-Storey: Tauranga Girls’ College
  • Jayden Lal: Saint Kentigern College
  • Max Lawton: Rangitoto College
  • Jacob McColl: Hillcrest High School
