Waimea College students' business idea catches Dragons' attention

Waimea College students, Ella Binskin, Jamie Couper and Taylor Larking won the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Dragons' Den competition held last week with their idea, Infinito.

The team who were the youngest finalists in the competition made Infinito - a range of coffee cup sleeves that sell advertising space while giving to charity.

Marketing manager Couper said they were pleased the idea lent itself to more than one purpose.

Originally, the idea was for coffee cups but after realising the minimum order would be 50,000 cups the team changed their mind.
