As part of the Youth Enterprise Scheme (YES) Year 13 students Sophie Worner,17, Marcus Furrer, 17, and Sam Morrison, 18, set up the company, Aorangi Colours.
YES is an experiential programme for Year 12 and 13 students, so they can learn to set up and run their own business, and is supported by the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce in this region and aligned with NCEA.
The aim of the Geraldine students’ business is to meet the need of students who do not have access to branded hoodies, hats, t-shirts and bags in one of schools’ four house colours.
