A company started by a teenage entrepreneur has won the regional round of a national business competition.
Sacred Heart Girls’ College student Abbie Wood is the brains behind the Together Collective, which prints budding artists’ work on to T-shirts and gives them a cut of the proceeds.
The Together Collective has been named 2021 Taranaki Regional Winner of The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme and will be up against 22 regional champions when the national final takes place online on December 22.
This year, 145 Taranaki students took part in the scheme, and to win the title the Together Collective had to complete a variety of business milestones during the year and pitch the business to a panel of judges – Eve Kawana-Brown from Massey University, Rob Haveswood from the Toi Foundation and Bryce Turner from WITT.
