Meg MacDonell, 17, has been named the 2021 Young Enterprise CEO at the Young Enterprise National Awards.

She, along with fellow New Plymouth Girls’ High School students Keira Hills-Wilson, 16, Devon Walker, 16, Brooke Hoskins-Lefevre, 17, and Natasha Gouldsbury, 16, created Ora Cards, a game which aims to increase the use of te reo Māori, as part of the young enterprise scheme (YES).

MacDonnell was surrounded by her business partners, family, mentors and teachers when she was announced the winner of her category in the online awards held in December.
